Nick is a sweet young male sheltie who came into our program around Christmas of 2005. He was underweight and had a dry, short haircoat from poor diet. Under his foster mom's care, he has gained weight and his coat has grown longer and shinier. All the ISR volunteers who meet him comment on what a sweet personality he has, and we were hopeful that he'd soon find a family of his very own. But all of a sudden a few months ago, he started to get some spots of fur rubbing off on his foot and face. Nick was diagnosed with DM: dermatomyositis, and is presently undergoing treatment. His skin condition doesn't change his loving personality, and we are still hopeful that some special person or family will come along who is willing to give this sweet young man a home.
