"Pawsitive Fun" Volunteers needed for June 14, 2008 11 - 4 "Pawsitive Fun" sponsored by Pawsitive Partners Dog Training Center, 5750 Elmwood Ct, Indpls. This is an all dog event with agility and obedience demos, rescue booths and vendors. Help is needed to staff the Indiana Sheltie Rescue booth. Please contact Teresa if you can help. **** Please note: additional rescue groups and business vendors still needed for this first time event. Please have interested individuals contact Teresa.		Petfest 2008 April 26th, 2008 11 am - 5 pm Indiana State Fairgrounds 1202 E 38th St Indianapolis, Indiana Volunteers are needed to help staff our booth at the Petfest on Apr 26 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indpls. Booth hours are 11 - 4. Only dogs available for adoption are permitted. Please contact Teresa is you can help with this event.
Agility Trials Indiana Sheltie Rescue has been asked to sell concessions at 3 agility trials this summer. We will be able to raise money for our shelties' medical bills by doing this. Volunteers are needed to help work at the concession booth. Each trial will start about 8 am and go until finished usually mid-afternoon. You don't need to work all day, but if you can put in a few hours please contact Teresa Each trial is located at Off the Wall Sports located at 1423 Chase Ct., Carmel, IN. The dates are : NADAC April 5 - 6 NADAC July 19 - 20 USDAA Aug 16 -17		Yard Sale Becky and Tim Coleman are going to host a yard sale to benefit ISR! The yard sale is being held as part of the "State Road 38 Yard Sales" which is an annual event along SR38 between Noblesville and New Castle . The dates are May 2-3 and times are 8 - 6. The Coleman’s live at 8424 S 150 W in Pendleton, IN . Their phone number is 765-778-8314 Items that can be sold are those that will fit into a car trunk. Becky has asked that items be pre-priced which would make her job much easier. Items not sold will be donated to ARF, an animal group that keeps a thrift store year round. Volunteers that would like to help the Coleman’s are very welcome. Items can be donated at any time, starting now . Doreen Miller can assist in making arrangements for pick up and delivery of items. Public Relations Volunteer	This volunteer would be someone able to contact new volunteers and welcome them to ISR so that they feel comfortable. They will need to answer questions, explain guidelines, etc. This person would also help keep us in contact with shelters - both old contacts and new contacts and work at keeping relationships fresh with overturned staffing at shelters.
Follow-Ups Volunteer	This volunteer would assist in keeping up with adoptions (usually by phone) to both newly adopted shelties and those adopted for a long while. Follow up volunteer would gather info on adoptions and forward these reports to Teresa. Any problems with the adoption need to be reported to Teresa but not make recommendations until a discussion with Teresa and foster home took place.
Public Events Preliminary Planner	This volunteer would assist Teresa in deciding what events ISR should participate in based on volunteer availability and dates and locations etc.
